| The First Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 9 AM in our school auditorium. A total of 18 individuals were inducted and this event kicked off the 50th Anniversary Celebration Weekend. |

| The 50th Anniversary Picnic was open to both current and former students, as well as community members affiliated to our school. The even allowed all school clubs and sports to set up tents in order for current and former alumni to meet and greet. Those who attended were able to eat a barbecue lunch and they were entertained by our cheerleaders, band, dance teams, and Impawvisation group. There was also a bounce house and slide for the children to enjoy. |

| The Gala was the culminating event for the 50th Anniversary Weekend. It was held at The Marriot Hotel in Downtown Miami and filled with great food, dancing, and musical entertainment by Palmetto alumni. |
